Mal Luber - Photorealist

Photo-realism combined with the power of  his painted or drawn images distinguish the work of Mal Luber’s art. From the early photo-realistic figurative drawings of  nudes, body builders and portraiture, to the more recent powerful acrylic paintings or graphite and color pencil drawings depticting equine art, wildlife art, western art and pet portraiture, Luber’s work is done with a “camera’s eye” and a designer’s sense of color and composition.

A resident of Connecticut, Mr. Luber has been a working professional artist for over 30 years, and has been exhibiting nationally since the early ‘70’s. His work has been shown in, and is owned by, several prestigious museums, and have found homes in numerous private collections.

His most recent “Carousel art” series is seen as a combination of his realism, his love of animals, and his early large “Dreamscape” drawings, which incorporate the human figure with sculptural forms. By freeing the carousel horses, wildlife, and other animals from the confines of the machine, Luber’s acrylic paintings brings them to life, in ways that need to be seen to be appreciated.

Through his company, Western Visions, LLC., Luber’s western art, equine art, wildlife art, and carousel art, can now also be purchased as signed and numbered limited edition giclee prints, as well as high quality, offset open edition posters. Additionally, his wildlife and equine art is currently available on mugs, cutting boards, cheeseboards, tee shirts, leather handbags and pillows.
